CPR Level A

The CPR Level A This is a comprehensive course that will increase your knowledge to perform CPR on adults in any emergency. 

 

 

Topics For CPR Level A Include:

  • Risk factors for health disease; knowing which factors you can/cannot prevent
  • Identifying the key signs and symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest
  • Knowing the signs and symptoms of an adult choking and the steps in providing first aid
  • Knowing the benefits and proper position of placing a victim in recovery position
  • Learn to perform adult CPR

 

PRACTICAL COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT

 

You will be evaluated on your CPR competencies and skills during the CPR course. Candidates who are able to demonstrate their ability to apply the required skills will obtain a CPR card valid for one year from the date of issue.

 

CPR Level A & AED

Includes the topics covered in CPR Level A as well as:

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are small, lightweight devices that look at a person's heart rhythm and can recognize ventricular fibrillation (VF), also known as "Sudden Cardiac Arrest" or SCA. Research has shown that AED Programs can increase survival rates from 5% to 75%.

Our AED course teaches the techniques for safe AED use, the need for AEDs, how the heart works and how to use the equipment safely on a victim of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

CPR Level C

This is a comprehensive course that will increase your knowledge and confidence level to perform CPR on adults, children and infants in any emergency.

 

Topics For CPR Level C Include:

  • Risk factors for health disease; knowing which factors you can/cannot prevent
  • Identifying the key signs and symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest
  • Knowing the steps to perform one and two rescuer CPR on an adult
  • Knowing the steps to perform CPR on an infant or a child
  • Knowing the signs and symptoms of an adult, infant or child choking and the steps in providing first aid
  • Knowing the benefits and proper position of placing a victim in recovery position
